After his daughter Jalisa was
diagnosed with lupus, North
Vancouver resident Karim
Chandani took action. He called
upon everyone he knew to put
together Celebs For Kids, a
two-day fundraiser, Aug. 14-15,
to help establish the Ross Petty
Research Chair in paediatric
rheumatology.
Celebs For Kids festivities
included a golf tournament at
Mayfair Lakes Golf and Country
Club as well as a poker event
and fashion show at the Sutton
Place Hotel.
The fundraiser wrapped at
Richmond's River Rock Casino.
The event, featured here, was packed full of entertainment including a live show from painter and entertainer Michael Israel. Many athletes, celebrities and dignitaries participated to support the cause. Info: www.celebsforkids.ca
